About FoamTech
Bart Bonanno, owner, of FoamTech Insulation Inc. is certified in many types and brands of spray foam. He has training in building envelope, air barrier applications, energy auditing, and BPI blower door testing. Bart has installed spray foam on commercial projects in Camp Peary, Ft Meade, Harvey and Cherry Point, Little Creek and Ft Story, Henrico East Health Clinic, Bow Creek Rec Center (in VA Beach), and Huguenot High School. He attended James Madison University, in Harrisonburg, VA, where he studied Small business administration. One of many things learned during his time at JMU was that a full time position behind a desk was not in the cards. He actively leads jobsites ensuring great customer satisfaction as well strict quality control measures.

Our Story
A life goal was to start a company by age 35. I have been in various fields of construction but a passion was spawned with energy conservation. How building has been done compared to our modern approach has been changing almost year to year. The construction of a building’s envelope can dictate how often HVAC equipment have to be replaced, quality of indoor air, energy usage to heat/cool, and the overall comfort of the structure. The best way to combat leaks in a building envelope is to seal them with spray foam insulation. That is where the idea for this company started. Along with my wife, who works in accounting, we believe that helping one household or business at a time with their high energy bills or uncomfortable home is the best way to help in our community while supporting our family.
